Submittal Stamps and Markups
We are excited to introduce the option for submittal stamps and markups in RedTeam Flex! These stamps and markups are configurable by your company and can be used both internally for the contractor’s review and externally upon review from Third-Parties such as architects and engineers.
Who is impacted by this update?
Anyone who manages, reviews, and approves submittals. Typically Project Managers and Third-Parties.
Why would you use it?
Save time by applying stamps for review directly onto your submittal files. Use markups to highlight or call out anything important on the submittals before submitting it for approval. Additionally, you can now offer these tools to be used by your recipients (eg. architects and engineers) who review and answer your submittal Requests for Approval.
How to use this feature
The option to use stamps and markups on your submittal files will appear automatically when you click an existing file attachment, or upload a new one and click it, from the following locations:
- Submittal Workflow > Review
- Submittal Workflow > Answer
- Request for Approval > Answer
Additional Information
The disclaimer language on the stamp can be changed at any point when applying the stamp to a submittal file; however you can also standardize this language for your company from the Configuration menu > Submittal Settings. You will need your System Administrator to assist with this configuration.
New Cost Estimate
A faster, more modern, and streamlined Estimate experience is now available for all clients. If you have been a RedTeam Flex client for more than six months you still have the option to use the “Classic” Cost Estimate but will now have the ability to toggle on the new Cost Estimate if you want to try it.
Who is impacted by this update?
Anyone who manages a Cost Estimate (for both Original Scope and Scope Changes). Typically Estimators and Project Managers.
Why would you use it?
For a highly improved user experience, we recommend trying out the new Cost Estimate.
How to use this feature
For Projects that are in Draft or Request status (this option is disabled in any other status):
- Go to a Project and click the Estimate tab
- Use the toggle to select “New Cost Estimate”
- Navigate the New Cost Estimate much like a spreadsheet to modify descriptions, quantities, etc.
Additional Information
- You can toggle back and forth between the Classic and New Cost Estimate while the Project is in Request status, and you will not lose your data by switching between the two, only the UI will change
- The selection of Classic or New Cost Estimate for the Original Scope of the Project will determine which is used for Scope Changes moving forward
- Anyone who has Permission to manage the Cost Estimate can toggle between Classic and New Cost Estimate
