Fieldlens by RedTeam mobile app update for 360° photos
Available now: We’ve released an update for the Fieldlens mobile app. Now it’s easier than ever to document jobsite activity and collaborate in real time using 360° photos. Use 360° photos to more effectively and efficiently document things like jobsite progress, safety issues and punch items. 360° photos can be viewed on both web and mobile devices.
Who benefits the most from the ability to upload and view 360° photos?
Anyone who uses Fieldlens to document or view jobsite activity. View project updates from anywhere, directly from the palm of your hand. Everyone from general contractors and subcontractors to architects and project owners will benefit from the ability to view project posts including 360° photos.
Why would you use 360° photos?
This update makes it even easier to use Fieldlens to document field activity and collaborate with those who aren’t on the jobsite. Unlike traditional photos, 360° photos offer an immersive visual experience. This allows stakeholders to virtually explore the project site as if they were physically present.
They provide visual evidence of construction milestones, site conditions and potential challenges. This can be useful for future reference, analysis and dispute resolution.
How to use this feature
Users in the field can upload 360° photos stored on their mobile device and taken with: special cameras, Android phones using Photosphere functionality and iOS panoramic functionality. Photos can be uploaded to posts and pinned to drawings for easy navigation. These photos can be viewed both from web and mobile devices.
