Indicated Outcome Report

Details: A powerful report for our clients who manage Construction Management At Risk (“CMAR”) or “open book” projects. This report facilitates the Customer’s understanding of the project financial status. It allows comparison of the Projected “Contract Value” against the “Estimate At Complete” (EAC) by Customer Schedule of Values for CMAR “open book” contracts.

Why is it important? What problem does it solve?

This report provides immediate access to compare the Projected “Contract Value” against the “Estimate At Complete” by each Customer Schedule of Values. Along with a recent update to Flex, which allows the option to tie the Budget directly to the SOV, this report saves Construction Managers At Risk time by compiling data into a report that is run on demand, rather than requiring Project Managers to calculate these figures on an on-going basis.

Who is impacted?

Accounting, Project Managers, Executives

TeamPlayer for RedTeam Flex

Details: TeamPlayer for RedTeam Flex is included with your RedTeam Flex subscription to enhance collaboration between General Contractors and their subcontractors and sub-tiers regarding everything from Requests for Quotes to submitting AIA-style applications for payment.

Why is it important? What problem does it solve?

Subcontractors utilizing TeamPlayer–particularly for submitting their AIA-style applications for payment–save General Contractors time and money on each application for payment. Subcontractors can only add progress to the agreed upon Schedule of Values from the subcontract or purchase order.

Pricing / payment

Electronic applications for payment, or “eApps”,  created with TeamPlayer streamline the subcontractor invoicing and payment process. RedTeam Flex has a $10 charge per eApp transaction when collaborating with subcontractors via TeamPlayer. Contractors may choose the amount of this fee that is covered by the vendor and the amount they pay themselves.

Who is impacted?

All those involved with the vendor payment process, including Superintendents, Project Managers, Operations Managers and Accountants.

Submittal Stamps and Markups

Details: These stamps are configurable by your company and can be used both internally for the contractor’s review and externally upon review from Third-Parties such as architects and engineers. Save time by applying stamps for review directly onto your submittal files. Use markups to highlight or call out anything important before submitting for approval.

Why is it important? What problem does it solve?

Prior to the ability to markup and stamp these files directly in Flex, users had to download submittals to their devices and use another software to markup and stamp, then they had to upload the file back into Flex. Now contractors and architects/engineers can use Flex to do so, which saves time and greatly increases efficiency. These updates make it easier for architects to use Flex to approve submittals, removing a hurdle that some architects/engineers had when asked to use Flex for to handle the submittal process.

Who is impacted?

Anyone who manages, reviews, and approves submittals, typically Project Managers and Third-Parties.

Drawing Annotations

Details: Two main functions: (1) Redline Markups – ability to add markups and annotations to a PDF file and Publish as a Redline Markup, which makes the marked up version available everywhere we show drawings; and (2) Markup and Attach – ability to add markups and annotations to a file and attach to any Dialog document template or Post and share the marked up file with a specific person or team.

Prior to the ability to markup and stamp these files directly in Flex, users had to download submittals to their devices and use another software to markup and stamp, then they had to upload the file back into Flex. Now contractors and architects/engineers can use Flex to do so, which saves time and greatly increases efficiency. Overlay Comparison

Details: Ability to compare different versions of the same drawing OR to compare any two drawings. The overlay comparison will call-out differences between drawings using colors to represent one drawing from another.

Why is it important? What problem does it solve?

Drawings are often changing, so it is critical to be able to quickly identify changes as revisions are received. This makes it easier to quickly determine if an Owner Change Order is necessary based on revisions, and allows contractors to easily determine impacted trades so they can coordinate necessary changes to subcontractors’ scope of work right away, which reduces the amount of rework required.

Who is impacted?

Anyone who views or manages drawings during preconstruction, contracting, and construction phases, including Estimators, Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Architects and Engineers.
