General Update

This is a tidy-up release: less clutter for admins and fewer tickets for accounting teams. Web changes are live today. A mobile app update that keeps your crew signed in arrives in the App Store and Google Play by next week.

Improved

Switch proposal forms on or off.

Each proposal form now has one Active switch (Configuration → Proposal Forms → Edit → General). Switch a form off and it shows crossed out and is no longer offered on new proposals or change orders. Anything already using the form keeps it and prints the same.

Plans & Specs: one standard discipline list.

Sheets now use the standard discipline list on every project, so they're labeled the same everywhere. Use Tags for your own groupings, such as a building, phase, or bid package. Custom disciplines you created earlier now appear as Tags. Plans & Specs types are now Drawings, Specifications, and Other.

Sage (hh2): retry a failed sync yourself.

If a vendor commitment or vendor change fails to post to Sage, click Retry, then Accept on the warning. Flex archives the stuck record in hh2 and sends it again. The failed line is replaced by a new transaction that shows Pending, then Successful Post, usually within a minute or two. If hh2 can't archive it (usually because the record may already exist in Sage), Retry stops and tells you why, and nothing is changed.

Fixed

  • Grid search boxes keep your typing, even when nothing matches (for example, in Submittals).
  • Dashboard pie charts on the Projects, Bids, and WIP dashboards show details on hover, and large numbers fit their tiles.
  • A rare timing issue that could delete a submittal just as its workflow started is fixed.

Coming soon to the mobile app

A new version of RedTeam Mobile comes to the App Store and Google Play by next week. It includes a new sign-in screen, and you'll stay signed in for 30 days, including if your company uses single sign-on (SSO). To sign in with SSO, enter your work email, then tap Sign in with SSO. Your company's sign-in page opens, then you're back in the app. If a session ends, offline work is kept and syncs after you sign back in. Update the app once it appears.

FAQs

Will switching off a proposal form change projects that already use it?

No. Projects that already use the form keep it, and it prints the same.

Disciplines now come from one standard list. Use Tags for any custom labels; the custom disciplines you created before this update are now Tags.

Retry covers vendor commitments and vendor changes. For a failed vendor invoice sync, contact Support as before.

The app update arrives in the App Store and Google Play within the next week and may take a few days to reach every device. Once it appears, make sure you update RedTeam Mobile.
